On Wednesday, I attended the DC Fashion and Beauty Blogger Event that was held at Violet Boutique. Let me start by saying that the boutique is SUPER DOPE!! Containing really cute pieces with great price points, the boutique is exquisitely chic to say the least!! This is my 2nd DC FABB event that I have attended and I have yet to be disappointed! I saw the FAB Lacey Maffettone, a co-founder of DCFABB, where she took the above picture and featured me on her blog. Check out the article here and I hope to see you at the next event!

This has been a super hectic week for me which is always a good thing!! I consider myself blessed!! The picture above is from a photo shoot I did for Mwari Magazine where they featured DaShawn Washington, a dope revamp artist from the DC area. I got a chance to see some of his work & I have already became a customer!! You give this man any article of clothing & it’s returned to you a uniquely fabulous piece of wearable art! The beautiful model seen in the picture is Tamika Wilkins, and she was a jewel to work with as well! I created a fresh neutral look for Tamika as requested from the editor. (SNis her hair not to DIE for?!? Much love to #teamnatural) Anywho, I’ll let you guys know when this edition of the magazine is released. Seersucker Social 2011

What is everyone in the DMV area doing tomorrow? I can tell you what you should be doing…. Come out to the Seersucker Social!! Described as a “vintage themed lawn party” this is definitely the place to be for all of my fashion lovers. This event begins with an optional bike ride through the city and ends at the Hillwood Estates, Museum and Gardens. This is the 2nd year the Dandies and Quaintrelles social club has organized this event, and being that I missed it last year, this kid will be in attendance!  So get your seersucker, summer, garden party gear together and I’ll see you there!!
